“The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation officials, led by Vice President Georgy Petrov, Elena Kruchinina of the Russian-Philippine Business Council, and Executive Director Victor Tarusin of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council, welcomed Secretary Cesar Purisima last August 31, 2012 at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry office in Moscow, Russia. The group, representing leading business organizations in Russia, reiterated its interest in increasing investments in the Philippines as one of the leading economies of the ASEAN region. Expanding tourism between Russia and the Philippines and the development of infrastructure to support such investments were highlighted. A good number of other opportunities in trade, agriculture, and manufacturing were also discussed. The Russian – Philippine Business Council will be visiting Manila within the next few months.”
