First of all, I congratulate the MIC and the BCDA for entering into this milestone agreement. 

I cannot think of a better inaugural investment portfolio for Maharlika than the BCDA’s flagship infrastructure projects within the vibrant Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone.

The BCDA has consistently proven itself as a prime mover of economic growth, with its well-managed properties generating substantial returns for the Filipino people and playing a crucial role in national development.

We have witnessed the BCDA’s track record of transforming former military bases into thriving economic powerhouses through innovative public-private partnerships and efficient management of government resources

And over the last five years, it has significantly contributed 5.8 billion pesos in dividends to the national government, which helped fund priority infrastructure and development projects for our people. Thank you for the cheque today and I expect more to come.

One can only imagine the wealth of opportunities that will be fully unlocked by this strategic partnership between the country’s two important growth vehicles.

With the wide-ranging areas to be explored by this agreement, we will be creating more sustainable urban communities that not only enhance the quality of life for Filipinos but also generate numerous job opportunities for them. 

I am confident that this partnership will set a standard for future collaborations and enhance the potential of our country’s first sovereign wealth fund.

I am very eager to witness more strategic partnerships forged by MIC in the coming days, bringing forth more investments that will give rise to booming economic districts all over the country and promote widespread prosperity for our people.
