The Department of Finance (DOF) has received recognition from the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) for its continued support in championing the growth and competitiveness of the country’s information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) industry.
As the official organization of contact centers in the Philippines, CCAP awarded a commemorative plaque to the DOF on November 18, 2024, in recognition of its efforts to boost industry development.
The recognition was in line with CCAP’s “Philippines: The Heart of CX” campaign, which aims to secure the nation’s status as a premier destination for customer experience services through a focus on innovation, talent development, and digital transformation.
The collaboration between CCAP and government agencies such as DOF underscores the unified effort to position the Philippines as a leader in the IT-BPM sector.
Undersecretary Renato E. Reside, Jr., received the plaque on behalf of the DOF and expressed gratitude to CCAP for its role in driving industry growth.
He also commended them for their continued efforts in sustaining employment, enhancing national capacity in communication and digitalization, and advancing the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into the sector.
“The DOF is proud to support the IT-BPM industry, which continues to play a vital role in the Philippine economy. Together, we can further strengthen the nation’s competitiveness in the global market,” Undersecretary Reside said.
Also present during the event were National Tax Research Center (NTRC) Executive Director Mark Aure, CCAP Marketing Council Vice Chairman Hanica Pacis, CCAP President Mickey Ocampo, CCAP Board Trustee Rommel Regino, CCAP Marketing Council Chairman May Dizon, and CCAP Operations Director Jay Santisteban.
